Johor Style Acar Buah
Sweet and spicy fruit pickles to be served with nasi minyak, biryani and nasi tomato. Tastes exactly like the one they serve at the wedding in Malaysia. Except, more fruits, less oily!
Types of fruits: Dried mango, dried pineapples, dried papaya, dates, dried cranberries, black & golden raisins, prunes and preserved radishes.
Sold in a small, leak-resistant plastic container 3" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2".

Frozen Murtabak
Count: 4 pieces

Acar bawang: $2
Instructions on how to reheat the murtabak:
1. Place a slice or two of the murtabak on a plate and heat it in a microwave for 15 secs. Turn it around and heat it again for another 15 secs, or until warm.
2. Heat a non-stick frying pan on a low heat.
3. Fry the murtabak until both sides are a bit crispy. No oil needed.
We served the murtabak with onion pickles ('acar bawang') or curry.
Recipe for acar bawang: Cut red onions into thin slices and place it in a big bowl. Add some vinegar, water and lots of sugar. Stir the mixture and let cool in the fridge for about an hour before serving. Can last till a week or two if store in the fridge.
Estimated measurement: 1/2 big red onion to make acar bawang for 4 pieces of murtabak.
Frozen Mung beans batter/ 'Kuih Kacang'

To make the batter: Mix together rice flour, a spoon of corn starch, a pinch of lime water, tumeric powder, salt and water. The batter should be thick (like the batter for fried banana/'pisang goreng') to ensure it covers all of the surface area. Fry it on high heat.
Estimated measurement: 1 cup rice flour to fry 20 pieces of 'kuih kacang'.
Fried mung beans. Sweet mung beans on the inside with crunchy, salty layer of rice flour on the outside.
Frozen Beef Karipap

Karipap tastes so good especially when it's still warm :)
Instructions on how to cook:
1. Thaw the karipap for about 30-40 mins. (If place in the fridge, let it thaw for up to 1 hour).
2. Heat the frying oil in the frying pan over medium heat.
3. Pat the karipap dry if too moist on the surface.
4. Then fry the karipap until golden brown.
5. Let it cool a bit for 10-15 mins before serving.
